Transitions
In his debut EP Ukrainian artist Nalobi Zrobe narrates a story of a switch which could be compared to passing amplitudes of a sine wave.
Project ‘Transitions’ was created as a digital ambient ecosystem in a jar - with ever evolving and live parts/creatures that are been absorbed by each other. Recorded in two cities - Toronto and Victoria, four compositions of this EP are meant to capture a change of states (both mental and physical), a change that eventually becomes a mix of random variables. Variables can be also affected by agents: acoustic instruments (such as clarinet and vargan) and samples from various devices that have been mixed with synthesized sound.
